Setia Alam Night Market

Malaysia’s longest night market – and possibly one of the world’s largest night markets – is the Setia Alam Pasar Malam in Shah Alam, Selangor.

This massive night market, which is reported to be around 750 meters (820 yards) in length (with other accounts reporting it being as long as over 2 km!, probably has any food items you’re looking for on your shopping list and more!

At the Setia Alam Night Market are two entire sections devoted to Chinese and Malay foods. According to most reports, there are so many dishes to choose from that it’s hard to decide what to eat!

In addition to traditional Malaysian cuisines are Western foods such as pizza and pie desserts, stalls selling Asian foods such as Korean and Japanese foods, as well as lineups of stalls selling clothes, shoes, and household items.

The Setia Alam Night Market is held every Saturday evening from 6:00-11:00 pm. If you’re a night market aficionado, this is one night market you’ll want to put on your list of places to visit!
