Yuanlin Night Market

The Yuanlin Night Market circa 2012.

The city of Yuanlin in Taiwan’s Changhua County is the Taiwanese equivalent of the typical Midwest USA city or town that is surrounded by farmland and has agricultural architecture such as grain silos as local icons. And like its counterparts in the USA, local attractions such as county fairs or their Taiwanese equivalent, the night market, tend to be highly popular among locals and out-of-towners alike!

Yuanlin’s night market is held every Sunday evening by the city’s iconic grain silos. This night market is apparently very popular with locals and offers plenty for visitors, including arcade games, carnival rides, clothes vendors, food vendors selling every kind of Chinese delicacy imaginable, vendors selling jewelry and womens’ accessories, mahjongg tables, and much more!
