Beitou Night Market

When it comes to Taipei’s night markets, it doesn’t get much more traditional than Beitou Night Market.

This night market features traditional Chinese dishes and fruits of all kinds. However, there is very little here for the foreign traveler (unless you speak Mandarin and can read traditional Chinese characters, that is). According to most reports, all of the signage here is in Chinese and very few, if any, of the vendors speak English.

If you feel like you’re up to the challenge of immersing yourself in a 100% Chinese environment, Beitou might be a place you might owe it to yourself to experience!

*Night market location not available at this time. Any directions or location information would be much appreciated!
