With the (literally) thousands of street vendors who line up along this street at night, Bangkok’s “backpacker’s paradise” of Khaosan Road can be considered a gigantic night market in itself! And as a result, the lineup of vendors is referred to as the Khao San Night Market.
If you’re one of the millions of foreign tourists who visit here every year and are likely strolling down the street at night, you will find no shortage of vendors and hawkers selling Thai souvenirs and handicrafts, discounted Western clothing, Thai food, jewelry, postcards, personal accessories, and much, much more.
In recent years, Khaosan Road has been offering a little more to the average non-backpacking tourist such as bars and contemporary restaurants. Those can easily be found within walking distance from all the vendors.
The action at the Khao San Night Market starts around 3 pm and the stalls stay open until 2 am.
