Pratunam Market

Rows of merchandise and shops in Bangkok’s Pratunam Market circa 2009.

One of Bangkok’s largest and most famous night markets is Pratunam Market.

Located in the district with the same name, Pratunam Market is a massive market that has earned itself a decades-long reputation for low- priced merchandise. It features both an indoor market and outdoor stalls (many of which are famous for spilling over into nearby businesses and streets) selling clothing, fashion accessories, Thai handicrafts, jewelry, shoes, and much more. It’s the perfect place to go to pick up a swimsuit you may have left at home or a replacement pair of shoes that may have gotten ruined while trekking down Khaosan Road!

Pratunam Market is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which makes it suitable for both night owls and day people!
