One of the most famous and oldest night markets in Thailand is the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. Simply put, it’s *the* place to go for the ultimate shopping experience in Chiang Mai.
Located at the intersection of Chang Khlan and Loi Khro Roads, the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar is a sprawling outdoor night market (with a few indoor stalls and less-visible outdoor stalls located down the alleyways as well) located along two blocks in downtown Chiang Mai. At this night market you can expect to find hundreds of stalls selling handicrafts of all kinds, artwork, fashion accessories, DVDs, cutlery, jewelry, clothing, houseware, food items, and much, much more!
In case you get hungry during your shopping spree, there are plenty of fast food restaurants and bars located along the same streets as the night market where you can order a quick beer and a burger before resuming your trip through the night market! Or if you’re craving something more “international”, like a beer and bratwurst from a German pub, or maybe a Guinness at an Irish pub, those can be found within walking distance from the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar as well!
The Chiang Mai Night Bazaar starts getting underway at 6 pm and packs up for the evening sometime around 10:30 pm.
