If you’re spending a Saturday night in Chiang Mai and want to make the rounds of the city’s night markets, the Saturday Evening Market, or Wua Lai Market as it’s also known, is one that’s almost impossible to miss.

Like its cousins the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and the Sunday Evening Market, the Saturday Evening Market is also well-known among locals and foreigners alike. And like the Sunday Evening Market, this night market is also well-known for its abundance of handicrafts, and its handmade silverware items in particular. Shoppers at this market can expect to find vendors selling silver and aluminum crafts, cutlery, jewelry, and much more.

In addition to the silverware, there are street musicians who put on performances with their traditional Thai instruments,  food vendors selling all kinds of delicious Thai food, and the usual line-up of stalls jam-packed with clothes, jewelry, toys, traditional Thai woodwork, paintings, stoneware, and personal and household essentials of all kinds.

Located along Chiang Mai’s Wua Lai Road, the Saturday Evening Market is the perfect place to spend a Saturday night in Chiang Mai!
